Curbside Recycling

Curbside Recycling pick up occurs every-other-week (see schedule and map) for 1-4-unit housing structures and some condominiums, using a wheeled cart.

Set out the cart on the night before the scheduled pick up day.  Set the cart at the edge of the road (but not in the road) and away from mail boxes or other obstructions. Any missed bulk or recycling pickups should be reported to the Township before the end of the next business day.

What can I recycle using the recycling cart?

How do I prepare items for recycling?

What's not accepted?
Contaminants include foam egg cartons and packaging, oil jugs (due to the thin lining of oil), yard waste, and any item that is not listed in the acceptable list.  Please dispose of these items, so they do not jeopardize good, recyclable materials:

How are the commingled/mixed items sorted and reused?

If your house does not have a cart, call the Township to have one delivered to you. Please remember that the recycle cart stays with the house, even if you move.  An additional cart is available for a fee by calling Republic Services at 269-216-8000.

Drop-off recycling center is open generally 6 days/week
Republic Services also operates a drop-off recycling site at 3432 Gembrit Circle in case you would like to recycle large quantities and are not able to store them for setting out over multiple collection days.

Thank you for participating. For any other concerns or questions regarding your recycling please call the Township at (269) 381-8080.
