In response to the severe storm that struck the Charter Township of Kalamazoo on May 15, 2025, causing widespread tree damage, downed power lines, and blocked roadways, the Township Board swiftly and unanimously approved emergency funding for storm debris cleanup efforts. The decision reflects the Township’s commitment to service and its proactive approach to supporting the community in times of need. On June 2, 2025 curbside brush pickup will commence across affected areas. Beginning immediately, tree removal services are being prioritized and evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Residents are asked to place manageable brush near the roadside. For larger trees or more complex needs, residents may submit a service request via the Township website at ktwp.org/contact-and-hours or by calling (269) 381-8080. Toni Kennedy

Toni is a US Army Veteran who lives in the Eastwood Neighborhood with her husband. She works tirelessly to serve her community and serves on various Boards in Kalamazoo County. She has always advocated for the Township by attending meetings over the years, and now she is very honored to have been appointed to serve on the Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees.

She looks forward to serving you in her community and making a difference in our Township. Her passions are Veterans, the Township Community, and making a difference in people’s lives when possible.
