By the power of MCL 41.65 the township clerk is responsible for maintaining the township's records, including the general ledger, meeting minutes, notices, and the book of oaths. In addition to overseeing the management of township records, the clerk is responsible for overseeing township elections. The individual must appoint a deputy and must be bonded.
