In response to the severe storm that struck the Charter Township of Kalamazoo on May 15, 2025, causing widespread tree damage, downed power lines, and blocked roadways, the Township Board swiftly and unanimously approved emergency funding for storm debris cleanup efforts. The decision reflects the Township’s commitment to service and its proactive approach to supporting the community in times of need. On June 2, 2025 curbside brush pickup will commence across affected areas. Beginning immediately, tree removal services are being prioritized and evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Residents are asked to place manageable brush near the roadside. For larger trees or more complex needs, residents may submit a service request via the Township website at ktwp.org/contact-and-hours or by calling (269) 381-8080. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Kalamazoo Charter Township Board swearing in ceremony will be conducted at the Kalamazoo Township Hall at 1720 Riverview Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49004 on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that members constituting a quorum of the Kalamazoo Charter Township Board, Planning Commission and/or Zoning Board of Appeals may be incidentally present at the ceremony.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that, in the event that a quorum of a Kalamazoo Charter Township Board or Commission is present, there will be no deliberation and/or no discussion as to a decision on policy by such board or commission and no meeting will be held by the Kalamazoo Charter Township Board, Planning Commission or Zoning Board of Appeals, even if a quorum is incidentally present.
