In response to the severe storm that struck the Charter Township of Kalamazoo on May 15, 2025, causing widespread tree damage, downed power lines, and blocked roadways, the Township Board swiftly and unanimously approved emergency funding for storm debris cleanup efforts. The decision reflects the Township’s commitment to service and its proactive approach to supporting the community in times of need. On June 2, 2025 curbside brush pickup will commence across affected areas. Beginning immediately, tree removal services are being prioritized and evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Residents are asked to place manageable brush near the roadside. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CREATING AN INDUSTRIAL

DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT

TO:      THE RESIDENTS, TAXPAYERS, PROPERTY OWNERS AND TAXING UNITS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF KALAMAZOO, KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MICHIGAN AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Kalamazoo Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 9, 2024 commencing at 7:30pm, or as soon thereafter as said matter may be heard at the Kalamazoo Charter Township Town Hall located at 1720 Riverview Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49004.

The purpose of the public hearing is to consider establishing an Industrial Development District for Azon International on their property located at 2204 Ravine Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49004    as the same plans to invest approximately $2,400,000 in new building construction and improvements on property located at  (Parcel No. 3906-08-265-041), legally described as:

All interested persons are invited to be present at the public hearing to comment on establishing an Industrial Development District and the approval or disapproval of the same.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that written comments will be received from any interested persons by the Kalamazoo Charter Township Clerk at the Township Hall at any time during business hours up to the date of the hearing and may be e-mailed to the Township Clerk at: clerk@ktwp.org for presentation to the Township Board at the public hearing. Written and oral comments will also be received by the Township Board at the public hearing.
