Who is responsible for tree cleanup?

The Kalamazoo County Road Commission Tree Removal Policy indicates that the Kalamazoo County Road Commission will address trees that are found to be within the portion of the highway right-of-way that is designed for vehicular travel (i.e. a tree that falls within the traveled portion of the road) upon reasonable notice.

Consumers Energy Tree Removal Policies indicate Consumers Energy expert Tree Management Team follows established forestry guidelines to ensure that trees don’t interrupt service, using qualified line-clearance contractors to safely clear trees and vegetation that could interfere with power lines.

If the tree on your property does not fall within the KCRC or Consumers Energy tree removal policies, please check the yellow pages or search for tree removal services online.
