In response to the severe storm that struck the Charter Township of Kalamazoo on May 15, 2025, causing widespread tree damage, downed power lines, and blocked roadways, the Township Board swiftly and unanimously approved emergency funding for storm debris cleanup efforts. The decision reflects the Township’s commitment to service and its proactive approach to supporting the community in times of need. On June 2, 2025 curbside brush pickup will commence across affected areas. Beginning immediately, tree removal services are being prioritized and evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Residents are asked to place manageable brush near the roadside. For larger trees or more complex needs, residents may submit a service request via the Township website at ktwp.org/contact-and-hours or by calling (269) 381-8080. Please take notice that the Township Board of the Charter Township of Kalamazoo will conduct a special meeting on Friday, April 11, 2025, commencing at 8:00 a.m. at the Kalamazoo Township Hall, 1720 Riverview Drive, Kalamazoo Michigan 49004. The Board will meet for the purpose of discussion and potential action on the following items:

1. Intergovernmental Roundtable Representative
2. Work Session time extension leading to a new start time for Regular Board Meetings
