NEWS RELEASE

DATE REPORTED: Tuesday, February 27th, 2024

LOCATION OCCURRED: I-94 Business Loop and Lake St., Township of Kalamazoo

INCIDENT SUMMARY:

On February 27th, 2024, at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department responded to the I-94 Business Loop near Lake St for a single vehicle crashed into a telephone pole. It appears the driver was unrestrained and was ejected from the vehicle.  Officers located the driver of the vehicle and started performing lifesaving measures. The victim, who is a 32-year-old female Kalamazoo resident, was transported by Life EMS to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.

This case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Observer at (269)-343-2100 or the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department at (269)-381-0391.
