NEWS RELEASE

INCIDENT TYPE:       Fatal Car Crash

DATE OCCURRED:  Monday July 4, 2022 at approximately 11:45 PM

LOCATION OCCURRED:  2200 Block W. Main St.

INCIDENT SUMMARY: 

At approximately 11:45 PM The Township of Kalamazoo Police Department and Kalamazoo Township Fire Department responded to a single vehicle crash into a tree.  Investigators determined the driver of the lone vehicle and only occupant had succumbed to his injuries.  At this time this incident is still under investigation. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Township of Kalamazoo Police Department at 269-567-7523 or Silent Observer 269-343-2100 if they have additional information regarding this incident.     

VICTIM INFORMATION: 

The victim is a 20 year old male.  His identity is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.  

AGENCIES ASSSITING:  Life EMS, Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.
