In response to the severe storm that struck the Charter Township of Kalamazoo on May 15, 2025, causing widespread tree damage, downed power lines, and blocked roadways, the Township Board swiftly and unanimously approved emergency funding for storm debris cleanup efforts. The decision reflects the Township’s commitment to service and its proactive approach to supporting the community in times of need. On June 2, 2025 curbside brush pickup will commence across affected areas. Beginning immediately, tree removal services are being prioritized and evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Residents are asked to place manageable brush near the roadside. For larger trees or more complex needs, residents may submit a service request via the Township website at ktwp.org/contact-and-hours or by calling (269) 381-8080. Stroud Family Park

Stroud-Family-PlaygroundThe 1.5 acre park offers a playground designed for young children, two tennis courts, picnic areas, a perennial garden, and parking. The park is one component of a larger, active recreation area that also includes eight baseball fields located south of Stroud Family Park. Kalamazoo Township maintains the park. The Westwood Little League operates and maintains the baseball facilities.

Stroud Family Park is located south of Grand Prairie Road, across from Indian Prairie Elementary School.
